Help me pay for a craniotomy at Saint Anne Hospital
Wirat needs a craniotomy at Saint Anne Hospital and the family is $1,250 short of the hospital's estimate.

In September I was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc. My surgeon at Saint Anne Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,650, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $1,250 short.
Doctors at Saint Anne Hospital told me a herniated spinal disc will get worse without a craniotomy. I work as a call-centre agent, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,650 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a call-centre agent have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. I'll not be able to lift anything heavy during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $60
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $150
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,040
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
