Help me finish a degree in social work at the Hialeah Institute of Technology - $6,400 to go
A first-generation student, Rowan needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a degree in social work.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in social work at the Hialeah Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $6,400.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Hialeah Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $6,400 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,950
• Final term tuition: $2,950
• Exam and lab fees: $145
• Textbooks and materials: $355
With deep gratitude,
Rowan

hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 22 people at work. Thinking of Hialeah
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Rowan
Sure. The biggest one is outstanding tuition balance, $2,950. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
Wishing you the best, Rowan. I hope things turn around soon.
Good luck with the exams, you've got this. After 28 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Hialeah.
hope things get better soon. I hope things turn around soon. Love from Varanasi
Rooting for you. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Thinking of Hialeah.
