Surat
I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in social work at Surat Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $450. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Surat Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $450 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $135 • Final term tuition: $250 • Exam and lab fees: $15 • Textbooks and materials: $50 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thinking of you, Gayathri. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. It's not much but it's yours. All the best
