I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at San Antonio State College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $3,400.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the San Antonio State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $3,400 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,450
• Final term tuition: $1,450
• Exam and lab fees: $130
• Textbooks and materials: $370

Best of luck. Study hard! The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Ikeja.
How is Hiếu doing now?

Thinking of you and your family, Hiếu. Study hard! Blessings.
Wishing you the best, Hiếu. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of San Antonio.
Hang in there, Hiếu. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
