Lokesh was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in April. The oncology team at Hyderabad Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Lokesh is 57, worked as a bakery worker until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hyderabad Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $870 • Transport to Hyderabad Cancer Centre: $80 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100 Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Sending strength, Lavanya. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Ikeja.

    • Thinking of you and your family, Lavanya. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings!
