Help Liam move out of an unsafe apartment this Tuesday

A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Brooklyn.

After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Brooklyn, and the lease starts on Tuesday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for four volunteers for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

            • Hang in there. I hope things turn around soon. After 16 years in engineering I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Blessings.
