Kagiso is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Sandton State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $950.
The registrar has said Kagiso can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Kagiso has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Kagiso would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Kagiso isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Sandton State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $950 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $480
• Final term tuition: $390
• Exam and lab fees: $60
• Textbooks and materials: $20

Hope this works out for you. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Toronto.
