Help José move out of an unsafe apartment this Tuesday
Moving day on Tuesday: we need anyone with a van and ideally a van.
🇲🇽 Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico1,119 views
After my landlord sold the building, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Celaya, and the lease starts on Tuesday. I have two children, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- six
- format
- In person in Celaya
- skills
- lifting, driving, a van or pickup

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from San Francisco
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Ikeja.
Sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.

sending strength. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Sent it to 12 people at work.
Thinking of you and your family, José. This could happen to any of us!

Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Celaya.

Best of luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Pretoria so I could bring a meal. Love from Los Angeles.

Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Istanbul.
