Help John Paul patch the roof before the rainy season
John Paul, a school janitor, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Manila.

I'm a school janitor living in Manila. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $620, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
You're not alone. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings
Take care. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
Thanks for sharing this, John Paul. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't give up. Thinking of Manila!
Good luck, John Paul. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Grand Rapids.
