Help Jacob keep the the Sunday Shelf pantry stocked
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Chicago is running low just as demand rises; $3,500 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Saturday from the back of a community center. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 62 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 35% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Chicago market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $2,400
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $540
• Baby formula and diapers: $230
• Refrigeration and electricity: $330
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
