Help Iwan patch the roof before the monsoon
The roof at Iwan's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a home-care aide living in Yogyakarta. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $340, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope things get better soon. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Wish I lived closer to Nairobi so I could bring a meal. Greetings from New York
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Sent it to 4 people at work.
hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Kazan.
Hope it all works out, Iwan. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Keep going, Iwan. Shared this with my family
