Help Isabella patch the roof before the rainy season
Isabella, a home-care aide, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Manukau.

I'm a home-care aide living in Manukau. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $5,500, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope things get better soon, Isabella. Shared this with my family. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Manukau.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Semarang donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Manukau.
Sending strength. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Put this on a community board in Dallas this morning. Love from Dallas

thanks for sharing this, Isabella. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope June is when things finally get easier
thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Manukau.
sending strength, Isabella. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Sending good thoughts, Isabella. Hope you get there. I hope June is when things finally get easier. All the best.
Stay strong. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Greetings from Nsukka.
