Help Gerardo patch the roof before the monsoon
Gerardo, a disabled veteran, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 1-weekend roof repair in San Diego.

I'm a disabled veteran living in San Diego. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,200, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Manchester
Hang in there, Gerardo. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of San Diego!
you're not alone, Gerardo. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
