Help Gerald patch the roof before the autumn rains
Gerald, a school janitor, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Leeds.

I'm a school janitor living in Leeds. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,850, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

thinking of you and your family, Gerald. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Brisbane.
So sorry you're going through this, Gerald. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't give up. Thinking of Leeds.
Good luck, Gerald. Shared it with a few friends. God bless.
