Help Gayathri patch the roof before winter
The roof at Gayathri's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Mysuru. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $440, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Glad we found this place.

So sorry you're going through this, Gayathri. It takes guts to ask. Well done. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
keep going, Gayathri. Your post was clear and honest. I hope January is when things finally get easier. Blessings.
Wishing you the best. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Put this on a community board in Dar es Salaam this morning. Thinking of Mysuru
Hope this works out for you. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings
Praying for you, Gayathri. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
Hang in there, Gayathri. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Take care
