Help Eunice patch the roof before the monsoon

Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in Obuasi?

Obuasi
I'm a home-care aide living in Obuasi. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $720, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Thank you so much.

Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in Rio de Janeiro but we're thinking of you. All the best.

    • Good luck. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Love from Kaduna.

      • Take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Love from Austin.

        • Hope things get better soon, Eunice. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected

          • Wishing you peace, Eunice. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
