Help Denise patch the roof before winter
Denise, a night-shift nurse, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Los Angeles.

I'm a night-shift nurse living in Los Angeles. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,100, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Los Angeles
You're not alone. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care
Praying for you, Denise. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
You're not alone, Denise. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
