Help Deborah patch the roof before the autumn rains
Deborah, a retired bus driver, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Bellevue.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Bellevue. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,300, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Los Angeles this morning. Thinking of Bellevue
shared this with my family. I hope July is when things finally get easier. God bless.
best of luck. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Love from Gwagwalada.
