Claire was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly in January. The surgeon at Oakland Community Hospital recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,050 short.
my mother has been in and out of Oakland Community Hospital since January. The doctors say a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Claire struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
