Help Claire patch the roof before winter
The roof at Claire's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Newcastle. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,400, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

So sorry you're going through this, Claire. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Derry.
