Help Chitra with wage-theft claim filing and attorney fees
Help Chitra cover the fees of a wage-theft claim so She can stay with her family.

Chitra is facing a wage-theft claim. The hearing is scheduled for November, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $250. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Chitra has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Chitra could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $250 goes:
• Filing and biometrics fees: $45
• Certified translations and document copies: $15
• Attorney retainer: $190
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
Updates from Anjana
Update from Nagpur: the plan for filing and biometrics fees is now scheduled. We're at 16% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($20 in total) the plan for attorney retainer is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
