Help Cherry patch the roof before winter
Could you spare three weekday mornings to help repair a leaking roof in San Fernando?

I'm a school janitor living in San Fernando. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $470, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you and your family, Cherry. Looking forward to the next update.
So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings!
A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. After 19 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Catania.
Good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Albany so I could bring a meal.
Take care. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Chiang Mai but we're thinking of you. God bless
