Help Cecilia keep her home - 2 months behind on rent
After a delayed insurance payout, Cecilia is 2 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.
🇵🇭 Metro Manila, Philippines1,780 views
When the warehouse closed in August, Cecilia fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a final eviction notice was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $850.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, the family must leave.
There are 4 children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Cecilia has started working evenings as a cleaner, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $850 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $600
• Late fees and court costs: $60
• Utilities in arrears: $30
• First month of rent as a buffer: $160

Thinking of you and your family, Jun. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Quezon City.
Good luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Makati so I could bring a meal. God bless
