Carlos was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in July. The oncology team at Columbus University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Carlos is 25, worked as a construction supervisor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Columbus University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $6,750 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,300 • Scans and lab work: $740 • Transport to Columbus University Hospital: $990 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $540 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,180 Thank you so much.
