Help Brian pay for a craniotomy at Machakos Regional Medical Center
After a cleft palate needing repair, Brian was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Brian was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in July. The surgeon at Machakos Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $750, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $450 short.
my father has been in and out of Machakos Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Brian struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Brian won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $450 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $30
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $50
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $290
• Physiotherapy sessions: $35

sending love. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Machakos.
You're not alone, Achieng. Shared this with my family. After 25 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless
Wishing you the best. I hope things turn around soon. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
