Help Benoît patch the roof before winter
Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Marrakesh?

I'm a home-care aide living in Marrakesh. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $450, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. After 9 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Marrakesh.
take care, Benoît. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
Hope it all works out. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 21 people at work. Take care
Thinking of you and your family. Your post was clear and honest. Sent it to 30 people at work. Greetings from Zagazig
hang in there. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
