Help Bella patch the roof before winter
Bella, a home-care aide, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Montgomery.

I'm a home-care aide living in Montgomery. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,400, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hang in there. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Put this on a community board in Petrópolis this morning. God bless.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Sending good thoughts, Bella. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best.
Wishing you the best, Bella. Your post was clear and honest. My husband and I read this together
