Beatrice was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in July. The oncology team at Latina Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Beatrice is 53, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Latina Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
