Athumani has worked and saved for three years to study a computer science degree; a $850 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Athumani is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at the Kasarani Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $850.
The registrar has said Athumani can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Athumani has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Athumani would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Athumani isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Outstanding tuition balance: $540
• Textbooks and materials: $60
• Final term tuition: $250
