Help Anika with a plumber's skills: a septic backup
Anika has a septic backup, and can't afford a licensed plumber to fix it; a few hours of professional help would make the home safe.

In June an inspector told me that my home has a septic backup. It's a safety risk for me and my elderly mother. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $250 are beyond us.
I'm looking for a licensed plumber who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $20.
The job should take about three hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request.
If you're a plumber and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Rooting for you, Anika. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Hope things get better soon. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Narayanganj.
hang in there, Anika. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together.
Thinking of you and your family, Anika. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Blessings
You're not alone, Anika. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from São Paulo
