Bogotá

For four years I have run a fish stall in Bogotá. In November, the demolition of the market took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $1,150 goes: • Replacing a freezer and scales: $730 • Initial stock: the first catch: $115 • Shop repairs and licensing: $165 • Working capital for the first month: $140 I hope life is good to you. - Ana

We're at 36% thanks to 15 of you. I made the first payment toward replacing a freezer and scales. More news soon.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($266 in total) the plan for working capital for the first month is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Quick update: $121 raised so far (10%). the first invoice got paid this week. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
