Help Almaz patch the roof before the next storm
The roof at Almaz's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Gondar. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $500, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- a weekend
- format
- In person in Gondar
- skills

good luck. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Thanks for sharing this. This could happen to any of us. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Gondar
Praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Cebu City.
Praying for you, Almaz. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did
Thinking of you and your family. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless!
