Help Alice lay Shirley to rest with dignity in San Diego
Shirley passed away on 5 August; we're raising $3,300 for a respectful funeral in San Diego.

Shirley, my wife, passed away on 5 August after complications from pneumonia. She was 39 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,300 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 21 August.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Shirley to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $740
• Funeral home services and casket: $2,250
• Memorial gathering for the family: $310
Thanks for being kind about this.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Alice!
Sure. The biggest one is cemetery plot and burial fees, $740. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
Stay strong. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Dar es Salaam
Hope it all works out, Alice. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update.
Wishing you the best. Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money!
Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best
