Adaeze was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in February. The oncology team at Port Harcourt University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Adaeze is 57, worked as a hairdresser until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Port Harcourt University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,350 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000 • Transport to Port Harcourt University Hospital: $125 • Scans and lab work: $225 I hope life is good to you.
