Help a family move in Scranton - 4-hour job
A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Scranton.
🇺🇸 Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States429 views
After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Scranton, and the lease starts on Sunday. I have a teenager and a toddler, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the second floor and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

sending love. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
Thanks for sharing this, Yue. Your post was clear and honest. Blessings
Praying for you. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Aberdeen.
Thanks for sharing this, Yue. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
Stay strong, Yue. Shared it with a few friends
