Help a family move in Gulu - 4-hour job

Moving day on Thursday: we need 3-4 helpers and ideally a van.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Gulu, and the lease starts on Thursday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • best of luck. Hope this works out for you. Love from Contagem

    • Wishing you the best. Shared this with my family. After 17 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings.

      • Take care, Salim. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money

        • I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Greetings from Thane

          • Take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 8 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
