Help a family move in Gqeberha - 4-hour job

A short, concrete way to help: a few hours of lifting and loading in Gqeberha.

After my landlord sold the building, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Gqeberha, and the lease starts on Monday. I have two children, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about six hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the fourth floor walk-up and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. Thank you so much.

  • Stay strong. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.

    • So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 6 years in teaching I know how hard it is to ask for anything.

      • hang in there, Ayanda. I hope things turn around soon. Blessings.

        • everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Rawalpindi.

          • praying for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from New Delhi.

            • Good luck, Ayanda. Hope you get there. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from St. Petersburg!
