Hatem needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Mansoura
Hatem drives for a living in Mansoura, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 7 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 7 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $250 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $150
• Labor charges: $20
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $50
• Towing and inspection: $30
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Good luck, Hatem. Shared this with my family. Please keep us posted.
Take care. Hope the shop reopens soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Embakasi.
