Harmony Primary School needs a playground - Arif's neighborhood project
A community-led a playground at Harmony Primary School that will serve 233 neighbors.
🇧🇩 Bangladesh1,261 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 233 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
• Materials: $320
• Permits and inspections: $20
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Arif.
Tools hire and delivery is $60 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.
Best of luck, Arif. Shared this with my family. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Narayanganj.
Sending strength, Arif. Shared it with a few friends. All the best
Rooting for you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Stellenbosch
