Halyna needs someone who understands: peer support in recovery

Halyna is ninety days into recovery and would welcome a mentor with lived experience.

I'm ninety days into recovery from gambling addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week. I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like. I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Mapo.

    • Rooting for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
