Guidance wanted: Usha's university applications
Usha will be the first in the family to apply to university and needs someone who knows the process.

I'm Usha, 16, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study journalism.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
- effort
- 1 hour a week
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- university experience, essay feedback

Rooting for you, Usha. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Busan.
Hang in there, Usha. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Sending strength, Usha. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings.
Wishing you peace, Usha. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Blessings
