Russell will be the first in the family to apply to university and needs someone who knows the process.

I'm Russell, 16, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at my church youth group and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until December. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 8 years in farming I know how hard it is to ask for anything. All the best
Thinking of you, Russell. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Oakland.
Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
