Guidance wanted: Romeo's university applications
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Romeo's essays until November.
Anywhere in the world1,779 views
I'm Romeo, 16, in Grade 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Keep going, Romeo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 17 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Sending good thoughts, Romeo. Good luck with the exams, you've got this.
Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Rooting for you, Romeo. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors.
Keep going, Romeo. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Katowice.
Best of luck, Romeo. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. All the best.
