I'm Rashid, 16, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study biomedical science. I have a distinction average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work. I'm looking for an hour a week until December. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request. Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask. Glad we found this place.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Cape Coast this morning. Blessings.

      • Keep going. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best.

        • Take care. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Aswan
