I'm Oliver, 18, in Grade 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study architecture.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

sending love, Oliver. Shared this with my family. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best
Rooting for you. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I'll check back for the next update. Take care.
Take care, Oliver. Study hard! Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Keep going, Oliver. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
sending love. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors
