I'm Józef, 16, in Grade 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study public health.
I have a 3.7 average, I volunteer at the local library and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until June. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 1 hour a week
- format
- Online or by phone
- skills
- university experience, essay feedback

Thinking of you, Józef. Gave what I could, wish it was more. All the best.
Rooting for you. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Birmingham this morning. Take care.
Hope it all works out. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Poznań.
thinking of you, Józef. Hope you get there
study hard! Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Ogbomosho.
rooting for you, Józef. Your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
Take care. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Greetings from Embakasi
Best of luck, Józef. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care!
