A mentor for applications, essays and scholarships for a motivated first-generation student.

I'm Joaquín, 18, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a top-of-class average, I volunteer at my mosque and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until August. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Thank you for reading my story.

Keep going, Joaquín. Study hard! Take care.
Praying for you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in East London donated after I showed her your page. Take care
You're not alone, Joaquín. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
praying for you. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors!
Wishing you the best, Joaquín. Looking forward to the next update
