Guidance wanted: Jigna's university applications
Jigna will be the first in the family to apply to university and needs someone who knows the process.

I'm Jigna, 16, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study economics.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at a food pantry and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until January. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Rooting for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Varanasi.
You're not alone, Jigna. Hope this works out for you. Love from Embakasi.
rooting for you, Jigna. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Study hard! Our whole street has been following this since the weekend
Wishing you the best. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Take care.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 7 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Varanasi.
Sending strength. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
Hang in there, Jigna. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Ikeja so I could bring a meal
You're not alone, Jigna. Shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together. All the best

Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
