Guidance wanted: Ibrahim's university applications
Looking for a graduate who can spend an hour a week reviewing Ibrahim's essays until January.
🇳🇬 Nigeria774 views
I'm Ibrahim, 18, in my final year of high school. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study biomedical science.
I have a distinction average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until January. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Praying for you, Ibrahim. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn.
This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Flint this morning.
You're not alone. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Bonny.
Thinking of you, Ibrahim. It takes guts to ask. Well done
