I'm Gianna, 19, in Year 12. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study psychology.
I have a top-of-class average, I volunteer at the local library and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until December. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

- 1 hour a week

Thinking of you and your family, Gianna. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
Hope it all works out, Gianna. Study hard! Wish I lived closer to Indore so I could bring a meal.

You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 14 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
Stay strong. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. God bless.
